“ In July of 2018, the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools officially opened the doors of the I PROMISE School with a mission to wrap around the most at-risk students and families in Akron. Taking a We Are Family approach to educating the whole child and family, IPS is creating a new model for urban, public education.”
The first year of the I PROMISE School told in photos from the very first day, all the way to the last. From the hugs to the tears, the fresh haircuts, the brand new pairs of eyeglasses, and even the insanely cool guest speakers; you can feel the glimmer of hope that is sparked by the We Are Family philosophy as it progresses through each picture.
